Message when I was younger I got into developing "mods" for video games starting mostly with a title called, "Jedi Knight: Dark Forces II" and "Quake II" and later Q3A. I started out doing skins, then tweaking shaders and very mild programming for actions and behaviors, basic modeling for map packs and later full charactor modeling and animations. I still love modeling and animation but its tough to keep up when you parctice so rarely.

I was into computers from a really young age and in my early teens got into doing what was called "case mods" at the time. The trend started from people just adding windows and cathode lights which are now in just about every box you see and I look at them and it seems so corney at this point. At the time PC's came in one color, Beige and no thought was put into styling, so it was fun to mess around with bulding a PC into an audio component case, or a car audio amblifier case, doing things like water cooling which just were not done at the time accept in 100+ CPU supercomputers and render farms.

My next project is likely going to be a PC for the Z. I first considered it a good couple years ago, but the market was in a different place at the time. A full ATX form factor was nearly your only option and LCD's were still prohibitively expensive. I revisited the idea a few weeks ago and was pleasantly suprised at the huge consumer market that has sprung up around car computing. I'm really looking foreward to it now =)
